Let’s read Isaiah 5:1-7 which picks up the illustration Jesus uses in today’s passage.

Prayer Time:

· Christmas will soon be upon us as 2020 moves quickly towards its close. Let’s pray for the opportunities we get as a church to celebrate the coming of Jesus as well as the opportunities to share the message of Christ’s coming with others

· Let’s pray as the church re-opens that we may not be ruled by fear and anxiety. Let us pray for peace and protection over the church family

Response Questions:

Let’s consider again some of the questions asked in the message.

· If you could look your Christian life in a mirror, would it look like the description found in John 15; a life of joyful, fruitful union with Jesus?

· What do I desire my life to look like?

· Think of the areas of life God have given to you, whether at home, work, school, church or elsewhere. What fruit does God desire me to produce in those places? Are there areas of my life that are not fruitful? How can I address those in 2021?

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin

When I fear my faith will fail,
Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail,
He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold
Through life’s fearful path;
For my love is often cold;
He must hold me fast.

He will hold me fast, For my Saviour loves

me so, He will hold me fast.

Those He saves are His delight,
Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in His holy sight,
He will hold me fast.
He’ll not let my soul be lost;
His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost,
He will hold me fast.

For my life He bled and died,
Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied;
He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life,
He will hold me fast
‘Till our faith is turned to sight
When He comes at last!

Though tears may fall My song will rise, my song will rise to You

Though my heart may fail

My song will rise, my song will rise to You

While there’s breath in my lungs

I will praise You, Lord

In the dead of night

I’ll lift my eyes, I’ll lift my eyes to You

When the waters rise

I’ll lift my eyes, I’ll lift my eyes to You

While there’s hope in my heart

I will praise You, Lord

The joy of the Lord is my strength

In the darkness I’ll dance

In the shadows I’ll sing

The joy of the Lord is my strength

When I cannot see You with my eyes

Let faith arise to You

When I cannot feel Your hand in mine

Let faith arise to You God of mercy and love, I will praise You, Lord

Oh You shine with glory Lord of light

I feel alive with You

In Your presence now I come alive

I am alive with You

There is strength when I say

I will praise You, Lord

When sorrow comes my way

You are the shield around me

Always You remain

Like courage in the fight

I hear You call my name

Jesus, I am coming, walking on the waves

Reaching for Your light
